Purebred Miniature Galloway Cattle

Byron Bay Galloway is a family owned stud, specialising in miniature, solid colour, Galloways. Family friendly, our cows are docile and loved like pets. We are the stewards of rare bloodlines from Scotland and Royal Show standard animals, growing a herd that is thriving in their beautiful 77 acre, hinterland home. 

We have been fortunate to obtain blood line rarely seen in this country, where semen from outstanding bulls from Scotland have been used with early bloodlines brought here to Australia. We have also bought Royal Show standard cattle to add to the breeding program. Our goal is to use these naturally docile cattle to create first class animals that are family friendly.

Currently our herd consists of various coloured cows: duns, blacks, whites-with-black-points and white-with-dun-points. They were originally 2 different herds sourced from 2 different studs located in NSW.  With names like “Harlem”, “Honi”, “Hannah”, “Juneau” and “Bulliboi”, we have certainly come to love and know these ‘herd’ animals like members of our family.  Each has a different appearance, different characteristics and unique personality.
